Hi, I'm Cigàr

I’m a UX designer + Front-end developer with a solid background in design and a focus on digital products.

I’m a multidisciplinary Product Designer based in Shanghai, China. I specialize in product design, design systems, and Web development. I’m always striving to grow and learn something new, and I don’t take myself too seriously.

Jan 2022 – Present

Responsibilities: Revamp the NPS system design for the Cisco Developer platform. Designing a brand new VScode extension to level up our API quilty.

Achievements: Recognized with the “Innovate Everywhere” award by peers for teamwork in designing a new VScode Extension.

My role is to work cross-functionally with technical and 4 creative team members to research, design, develop, build, and push the limits of digital and passenger onboard experiences for our In-house products like SaaS, BIMV, and IoT.

UED Leader / IWJW.com, Shanghai

Aug 2015 – Jun 2018

I was responsible for the UX design of the Property Search App+Web, and completed the visual and interactive experience optimization of version 2.1, saving about 10 seconds.
I was promoted to UED Manager after 1 year and led 6 team members to be responsible for the iteration of the product line across the platform, and was responsible for intra-team sharing and training of new staff, and participated in the customized work plan to plan the iteration of the core product features after 2017.

Senior UX Designer / CITIC Group – MaDai Financial Management, Shanghai

Dec 2014 – Jul 2015

I worked with the product technology team to build a new Web 1.0 front/back office system for our investment products in 3 months, and we also released a WebApp for our WeChat Platform, which has generated over RMB3.9 billion for over 3 million investors.

We created a community for the art hobby, which a startup launched with an optimal mix of staff, and I was responsible for the design + front-end development work, which took five months for the community to go live.

I worked for a leading company in China’s exhibition and display industry, delivering over 20 designs solutions for 7+ provincial capital city planning pavilions. The company was successfully listed on the SSE (603466) in October 2017.

We help start-ups design and build websites; I have used the PHP open source(WordPress/Modx/Magento) to release the Twente Football Club and Silicon Image website.
I also designed a fridge sticker for foreigners to help them learn Shanghai and Mandarin, which was a hit and was featured in 《That’s Shanghai》magzine.

I’m an Elite Runner for 5-years record holder from 2014 in Shanghai Marathon.

Solo Cycling From Chengdu to Lhasa in Jul 2015 which lasted 21 days.
